The Zamp Solar OBSIDIAN® SERIES 25 Watt Trickle Charge Solar Panel Kit is rugged and weatherproof with an IP67 rated integrated solar charge controller. This solution is designed to ensure a properly maintained battery that will work better and last longer. Never get stuck with a dead battery due to parasitic draw in your RV, overland rig, van, dump trailer or other heavy equipment.

This solar trickle charger enables batteries to remain fully float charged at the optimum level which in turn ensures increased battery life. Properly maintained batteries work better and last longer. This is the perfect kit for keeping any type of battery ready. We believe operational failure is not an option.

 

Perfect for any vehicle, our OBSIDIAN® SERIES 25-Watt panel works with any type of 12-Volt battery. The panel is 30% lighter than a traditional panel without compromising efficiency.

Exactly what I was looking for

Thank you, Zamp, for making my decision so easy! I did a lot of research to educate myself on portable and trickle solar solutions to keep the batteries charged on my living-quarters horse trailer while it's parked and while primitive camping. Your kit made it so easy! Your customer service is exceptional as well.

25watt 12volt portable or permanent kit

This 25 watt solar kit keeps my travel trailer and dump trailer batteries charged up.
When the rv travel trailer is in storage this kit keeps both batteries up on charge. I plug the charger into the port on the trailer and attach the solar panel to the trailer tongue and walk away. The magnetic feet are really strong and hold the panel in place. This required the purchase of an ATI to SAE adapter.
I mount the panel on the battery/control box on the tongue to charge when sitting or using a tractor to tow the dump trailer. I can plug and unplug the panel with the wiring included but changed the procedure later (see below). The magnetic feet hold the panel in position even when traveling over rough ground. I purchased a wall mount plugin to make it easier so I wouldn’t have to open the battery/control box to connect the panel to the battery.
Price is high but the warranty on the panel is better than any I looked at. And I believe you get what you pay for and I needed a good one for the dump trailer since I use a tractor 90% of the time to tow it on the farm.
